ABOUT THE MERCY TREE

Jorn and Bonnie Junod have been married 29 years and in full time ministry for nearly twenty years. They have two grown children, Anthony, who is married Christy and lives in Pasadena. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in psychology and is working on his Doctorate in neuropsychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Lauren, who resides in State College also graduated from Penn State with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management and Aveda Institute in Los Angeles with a degree in cosmetology.

Jorn received the majority of his education through Grace Covenant Churches and Ministries and also Christian Life School of Theology

The Junods have been involved in many ministries:

• 5 years as the first prison chaplain in the history of Mifflin County Pa. He also created a network of churches to join in serving the incarcerated.
• 9 years of Children and Youth ministry as a staff youth pastor.
• Missions director of Grace Covenant Church in Lewistown Pa. He has gone on 25 missions trips around the world from Asia, Africa, Central America and Europe providing evangelism, children's outreach, medical teams and construction for ministries.
• 7 years as a church planter and senior pastor of Discovery Road Church in State College Pa.
• While pastoring Discovery Road, Jorn has been helping lead an organization comprised of 13 other churches (Centre Region Churches and Ministries). Their vision is to create unity among those involved and love their City through acts of service and influence.
• 6 years owning his own construction and remodeling business "Joshua's remodeling"

What We Believe

Bible: The entire bible is God inspired, infallible and relevant to our lives 2 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12

God: He is a loving father who created us for relationship with Him 1 John 3:1

Jesus: He is God's full expression of love to us and the world John 3:16

Holy Spirit: He is God's power working to guide and teach us about his love for us and others John 14:23-29

Church: Is a family that loves and serves each other and the world Eph 1: 22-23

Mission: God's intention is for each Christ follower to express God's love and glory to the world. Isaiah 40:5
